Is the Uniden Pro 501 HH the finest high-end handheld CB radio?
It's not that far off.
This CB radio has everything you could need in a handheld CB radio and then some.
It comes with all of the built-in features that everyone looks for like 10 weather channels, an external speaker jack and the built-in automatic noise limiter (ANL), and squelch control so you can capture a great transmission and eliminate noise.
From additional features, the Uniden Pro 501HH has a microphone in-port and a speaker out-port.
All these options make it one of the most versatile out there and would make a great choice for anyone looking for a top-end handheld CB radio, it ranks as one of the best handheld CB radios available and one of the best CB radios overall.

What is the range of the Uniden Pro 501 HH?
The range of the Uniden Pro 501HH is 100-200 yards with the stock, rubber ducky antenna. Inside a vehicle, it is much shorter.
My recommendation is to pick up a magnetic mount antenna, a good one is the BINGFU soft whip antenna. It comes with a 10 foot BNC cord.
What are the differences between the Uniden PRO 501HH vs PRO 401HH
The biggest difference is that the 501HH is the newer model handheld CB radio with larger screen size. The style of the handheld CB radios is exactly the same.

Uniden Pro 501 HH Details:
The LCD Display:
The Uniden Pro 501 HH has a large backlit LCD screen, easy to read at night or day. The display shows the signal strength, battery life, and channel.
Overall, it has an easy-to-read display despite the information packed into a small area.
Battery Life & Power:
The Uniden Pro 501 HH requires 9 AA batteries that are not included. Depending on usage, the batteries will last on average for 45 minutes to 3 hours.
The PRO-501HH can be charged with an included 12-volt adapter in your car.
My recommendation is to pick up rechargeable AA batteries as they will last a lot longer than the standard-off-the-shelf brands and especially the "Amazon" brand AA batteries.
Try the EBL AA rechargeable batteries, I like these and use them in other handheld CB radios.
NOAA Weather/ Emergency Channel:
As standard, it comes with the 10 NOAA weather channels.
There is not an alert system but I do like how you can listen to two channels with the dual-channel watch.
Dual-Channel Watch:
The dual watch is a neat feature that the higher-end handheld CB radios offer. You have the choice to listen to two different channels at the same time.
This is good for monitoring the weather and shooting the bull with a friend.
Microphone:
The microphone is a condenser microphone, which means it captures high frequencies and voices.
They're also the most common type of microphone in studios. Condenser microphones, often known as capacitor microphones, are primarily utilized in recording studios because of their clarity and accuracy.
If you are look for more of a compact CB radio - The Uniden CMX760 is a solid choice.
