Aside from the LCD display, there are few small differences: Cobra 29 LTD Classic vs 29 LX.
Let's dive in...
The biggest difference between the Cobra 29 LTD and the Cobra 29 LX is that the 29LX offers a few unique features including automatic weather scan and Radio Check Diagnostic / Antenna Calibration.
These unique features in the 29 LX allow you to adjust the radio RF output, SWR setting, and vehicle battery voltage through the LCD screen rather than having to adjust through multiple knobs found on the 29 LTD.
Cobra 29 LTD Classic Review:
This is the godfather CB radio. The Cobra 29 LTD set the bar for high-quality CB radios with features and clear sound.
The 29 LTD Classic has been the standard of excellence in professional CB radios for over 50 years.
Overall impression:
For the money, you just can't buy a better CB radio. The Cobra 29LTD has been "old reliable" for so many CB radio users for many years. It's simple and easy to use and has been an absolute workhorse in the trucking industry.
There are others out there that have new, fancy features but if you want something as reliable as a Ford F150 that just keeps going, the Cobra 29LTD is it.
It has iterated over the years and the improvements made have straight from the feedback of users. For example, if you remember the old 29LTD and the location of the microphone panel in the back, well they moved that to the front now making it easier for in-dash installation.
